Tasks:

  • Analyze and suggest new trading opportunities in cooperation with the team;

Requirements:

Junior Accounting Analyst - Stamford CT

Junior Accountant – Stamford CT 

Being authorized to work in the U.S. is a precondition of employment.

DXT Commodities North America LLC is looking for a highly motivated candidate to join of our growing energy trading desk based in Stamford, CT.

The Junior Accounting Analyst will work with the Back Office team and the Risk, Control & Finance Director in all aspects of management company accounting and maintaining books and records.

Tasks:

  • Post A/P and A/R invoices, credit memos and payments.
  • Manage most aspects of A/P including vendor contract management and set up, account balance reconciliations and employee expense reports.
  • Perform month-end process, includes but not limited to, bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliation, depreciation/amortization of fixed assets and prepaids, properly accrued expenses.
  • Prepare various monthly reports including office payroll and office cost statements.
  • Maintain accurate financial record-keeping of all business activities.
  • Assist with daily cash management and treasury activities.
  • Assist with preparation of the company financial statements and budget variance analysis.
  • Assist with annual audit by providing documents and bank transactions.
  • Assist with periodic (monthly/quarterly) state sales tax filings.
  • Assist with the preparation of ad-hoc requests, as necessary.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university majoring in Accounting, Finance or related field is a requirement.
  • 1-2 year(s) or more of accounting experience.

 

Essential Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of accounting theory, with knowledge of applicable accounts payable/general ledger systems and procedures, financial chart of accounts and corporate procedures.
  • Proficiency with email and Microsoft Office applications; advanced Excel skills required.

  • managing KYC procedure and all processes of verifying the identity of our counterparties and customers;
  • assist the Legal team in the licensing process in the energy sector throughout all the relevant countries;
  • assistance and support in corporate matters (incorporation of new companies, capital increases, equity, participations) of the group companies.
  • analysis and research of legal issues and drafting of legal documents (contracts, training materials, policies, procedures);
  • reviewing, preparing and managing contract documentation and providing legal support to the daily operational work of the Legal team;
  • assist the Legal team in ensuring the company’s compliance vis-à-vis all international and national regulatory authorities, making sure all the documentation is compliant and up to date;

Professional requirements:

Tasks:

  • Responsible for building C# applications
  • Develop and maintain complex Oracle PL/SQL procedures and functions
  • Understanding and experience of the whole web application stack from database layer up to the front-end
  • Design and develop these applications and coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure

 

Requirements:

  • Proven interpersonal skills in order to build strong relationships with internal clients and the team of developers
  • Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science / Computer Engineering
  • Proficient in an Object Oriented language. C#, with a good knowledge of its ecosystems is a plus
  • Proficient in writing fine-tuned SQL queries, stored procedures and working with relational databases, experience with Oracle is a plus

As a Junior Linux System Administrator, you will have a relevant role in a team responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of our UNIX systems. In this position, you will troubleshoot server errors, install new system hardware, respond to user issues, and monitor system and network performance.

To ensure success as a UNIX System Administrator, you should have in-depth knowledge of UNIX operating systems, excellent troubleshooting skills, and high-level knowledge of computer hardware.

A skilled UNIX System Administrator will ensure the smooth running of the company’s computer system and quickly respond to breakdowns and software issues.

 

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Installing and upgrading Linux system and software on company servers.
  • Implementing network and computer system policies.
