Power and Gas Originator

 

 

DXT Commodities is looking for a Power and Gas Originator to strengthen the WEST EU origination team.

Applicants should have at least 4-5 years of relevant working experience in a similar role.

 

Tasks:

  • Originate new Power and Gas business opportunities.
  • Develop and manage counterparty relationships, with a specific focus on Italian, French and German markets.
  • Understand and advise on the counterparty needs to enhance the business relationship and deal execution process.
  • Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Credit, Risk to review, negotiate, and execute legal contracts.
  • Support the trading team in the analysis and pricing of structured deals.

 

Requirements:

DXT Commodities is looking for a Gas Fundamentals Trader/Analyst to strengthen the analysis team that supports traders in the Gas desk. Applicants should have at least 2 years of relevant working experience, preferably working with stack models applied to European Gas trading.

Tasks:

  • Work on the development and deployment of simulation models of European Gas markets. This includes daily analysis assessing the impact of fundamentals and external factors
  • Monitor gas production, gas demand including gas to power generation, cross border flows
  • Review, communicate and discuss model performance with the rest of the team as well as other key internal stakeholders. Be a leader in proposing, testing and implementing improvements as required
  • Collecting and maintain up-to-date market information and analyze market conditions to evaluate fundamental trade opportunities
  • Develop and use analytic tools to predict changes in the gas markets
  • Participate in the gross margin formation by providing trade or tactical recommendations
  • Build a model with a focus on NBP/TTF
  • View to helping the desk as an execution trader

Requirements:

  • Coordinate all activities relating to loading/discharge/vessel operation activities
  • Liaise with counterpart operators on cargo or vessel operational requirements as per transactions, including preparation of documentary instruction, timely and accurate nominations according to contract, the appointment of independent surveyors and ship/protective/shore agents, customs documentation
  • Support and develop internal reporting processes and activities to ensure compliance with regulatory bodies in a timely manner
  • Liaise and coordinate with internal stakeholders, such as front, middle, back-office, legal, shipping, finance, etc. on any operational topics to be flagged or actioned
